Volume #2: Introducing Dance To The Beginning Student

In this syllabus, Beginning Dance Combination, the dance teacher will find the solution to the presentation of dance for the beginning student age seven thru twelve.

This comprehensive lesson plan of ballet, jazz, and tap combination helps lay down a solid foundation of dance for all it's forms. The programs in Beginning Dance Combination Volume 2 are repetitive in order to provide the consistency needed to train the muscle memory.

Each thirty minute segment is an ideal introduction to dance for the beginning student. It is a 102 page extensive program for a ninety minute weekly class to be used consistently throughout the dance year. It is presented in a manner that familiarizes the student with the precision necessary to attain this art form yet is not intimidating.

Overview of the Beginning Dance Combination Class:

BALLET: Class begins at the barre learning basic technique and placement. Students continue with across the floor movements and finish with a center reverence.

JAZZ: Gentle stretches are introduced center floor. The class then begins movements across the floor, ending with short combinations in the center incorporating previously practiced material.

TAP: Basic foot work and steps are practiced with music center floor. Traveling steps are introduced on a one to one basis.

BONUS: THE STAR PROGRAM:You will receive this original program which encourages students to practice comfortably at home. It combines basic practice habits, vocabulary, games, coloring pages, and many other projects that provide the security of knowledge while in class.
